Asbury Park, Belmar, or Sandy Hook?
The magazine has announced nominees for its annual Readers’ Choice Awards. New Jersey destinations show up in the categories of Best Airports, Best Cities, Best Beaches, Best Restaurants and Best Hotels.
LIFE: My true tale: Doing dishes mopping up sewer mud in a time of social isolation
It’s not clear what criteria are used for each category. Why, for example, are the best beaches Asbury, Belmar and Sandy Hook, rather than any other wonderful beach in New Jersey? Why are all three nominated restaurants in Lambertville? Why is Newark Liberty International Airport nominated?
If you’re simply looking for escapist fun, you can vote at cntraveler.com/rca/vote. (You have to register your e-mail address with Conde Nast in order to vote, and then each registered e-mail address is eligible to vote one time). Deadline is June 30.
Winners are announced on-line in mid-October and will appear in the November print issue.
