Kary Ott said the Sept. 8 launch event gave her an opportunity to meet and measure clients participating in the program. She said they also were given a short questionnaire to access their fitness knowledge.
The clients‘ height, weight, blood pressure, resting heart rate, estimated body age and Body Mass Index were recorded, and they also participated in a one-mile run, and situp and push-up tests. As part of the program, participants are to take part in some type of physical activity at least six days a week. Ott created a daily guide that gives participants some exercise activities to perform, as well as daily nutrition challenges such as eating two fresh fruits or eliminating sugar-laden drinks.
