It’s been a special month for the Kapoors! Television director and producer Ekta Kapoor welcomed her baby boy via surrogacy just a few days back. And while the family members revealed that they have named him Ravie, inspired by her dad and veteran actor Jeetendra’s real name, the Kapoor family has decided to host a special naamkaran ceremony of the little one.
Attending the special occasion is Ekta’s family and her closest friends. The new mom arrived with her son and had a big smile on her face when she was snapped in her ride. Ekta was shining bright in traditional yellow attire.
Ekta’s closest colleague and friend of many years, actor-turned-politician Smriti Irani, arrived looking graceful in a cotton sari and Mona Singh, too, was all smiles for the paparazzi. Bachchan siblings – Shweta and Abhishek – also graced the occasion.
Karan Johar, who is one of Ekta’s closest friends, arrived with his mother Hiroo Johar. Filmmaker Farah Khan, too, painted a pretty picture! The biggest of television celebrities including Sakshi Tanwar, Kanchi Kaul, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Mouni Roy and Hiten Tejwani among others also graced the occasion.
Ekta had earlier announced the arrival of her baby boy on social media with a heartfelt post. She’d shared that while she’s seen many successes in her life, nothing comes close to the feeling of embracing motherhood. She had written, “By God’s grace, I have seen many successes in my life, but nothing beats the feeling of this beautiful soul being added in my world. I cannot even begin to express how happy my baby’s birth has made me. Everything in life doesn’t go the way you want it to but there are always solutions to those hiccups. I found mine and today I feel immensely blessed to become a parent. It is an emotional moment for me and my family and I can’t wait to begin this new journey of being a mother.”
