Margot Robbie takes to the stage in a strappy green jumpsuit at Producers Guild Awards in Hollywood… as latest film Bombshell is honoured with a special accolade

She’s currently appearing in Bombshell – a movie about the Roger Ailes/Fox News scandal.

And while Margot Robbie is up for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role as plucky reporter-turned-whistle-blower Kayla Pospisil in the film, attentions were focused on the Producers Guild Awards on Saturday night.

Bombshell was being honored at the Hollywood Palladium with the Stanley Kramer Award – the accolade given for films that ‘illuminate provocative social issues’ – and Margot took to the stage in a green jumpsuit for the occasion.

Making a difference: The Stanley Kramer Award is the accolade given for films that ‘illuminate provocative social issues’

The real-life story of Bombshell really took shape when in 2014, Ailes – played in the film by John Lithgow – was accused of offering a TV producer a salary increase if she slept with him, in the 1980s.

This was swept aside until 2016 when Carlson filed her lawsuit. This promoted several other women – including Kelly – to come forward. By the end of the scandal, there were 23 known victims.

Fox News owners Rupert Murdoch and his sons, Lachlan and James, asked Ailes to resign, or be fired.

Ailes did so, receiving $40 million as severance. He died the following year
