Born in Hawaii to Australian parents, the Hollywood diva started her film career in Australia with the film A Bush Christmas in 1983. Born on June 20, 1967 in Honolulu, Hawaii – Nicole Kidman has an Hawaiian name – Hōkūlani (Heavenly Star) but her name was inspired from a baby elephant’s name born on the same day in the Honolulu Zoo.

In a scene from the film, Kidman had to join Jackman in a sleeping bag under the stars. However, the actress noticed a a poisonous scorpion crawling up her costar’s leg. She quickly scooped it up with her hat and threw it away without even informing Jackman in fear of him moving or alerting the poisonous creäture to attack.
When she was 13 years old, she got the nickname Stalky, because she was 5 feet 9 inches tall when she entered into her teenage years. By the end, Nicole Kidman stood at 5 feet 10.5 inches tall, which was a problem during her years of marriage with actor Tom Cruise as she was good four inches taller than him. As a result, she never wore heels when she was out with him.
