SHOPPING for dresses online is always a risky business. Fact.
But while most shoppers simply have to worry about the size or fit of a new frock, one woman got a little more than she bargained for when her new PrettyLittleThing purchase arrived looking like something out of a “horror film”.
Unsurprisingly, Isla was not impressed with her ‘horror film’ PrettyLittlething frock
19-year-old Isla Garrigan from Durham splashed £30 on a “dusty pink high neck tiered skater dress” from PrettyLittleThing last week.
But instead of getting the glitz and glamour of a new party dress, Isla’s hilarious shopping fail looked more like something you’d find in The Shining than Saturday night out attire.
Complete with plenty of pink ruffles and voluminous shoulder pads, the only thing missing from the outfit was the addition of an identical twin.
Speaking to the Mirror, Isla said: “My first reaction was shock as it was not what I wanted.”
The 19-year-old student said the dress ne ‘burning’
She added: “I did look like I was dressed for an old horror film or like Donald Trump‘s First Lady.”
We’re just going to go ahead and say it was the perfect mix of Melania Trump‘s signature feminine style and old 1970s horror flick chic.
Willing to give it a go, the unimpressed customer tried on the dress only to find it looked even worse on.
With ruffles galore and oversized shoulder pads, Isla said the dress looked like something out of an ‘old horror film’
And not only was the dress too big for the petite student, it was also a bright bubblegum pink instead of the dusty mauve shade advertised on the website.
Thoroughly unamused by the fashion faux pas, Isla then shared a photo of herself in the dress on social media where it was also likened to the creepy wardrobe choices in American Horror Story.
All Isla ne is an identical twin, a couple of bows and that’s her Halloween sorted, amirite?
Claiming that the item in question “ne burning”, it’ll come as no surprise that the dress is “going straight back”.
After all, earlier this year PrettyLittleThing left one customer stunned when her floral bodysuit arrived with arms so long she looked like Mr Tickle.
Moral of the story? Always take your online shopping with a pinch of salt.
On the bright side, at least it could have made for an excellent Halloween costume.
In even more fashion news, sack the stylist for these awful clothing fails… including some VERY dodgy leggings.
And these DIY fashion fails show some people just aren’t ready for summer just yet.
Plus women are sharing hilarious photos of their dress shopping fails that look NOTHING like they did online.
